ST. JOSEPH'S INTERNATIONAL SECONDARY SCHOOL

Hello to all of you in Kuching. Since my arrival here, I have been greeted continuously by very friendly people here with the phrase “welcome to Kuching”. It is wonderful and I find myself very much at home here. Thank you so much for your warm welcome.

First of all, allow me to thank Archbishop Simon Poh who has invited me to head SJIS after Br. Paul Hough has laid a good foundation for SJIS. Thank you Archbishop and I will try my best to develop further SJIS.

Secondly, a big “terima kasih” to Br. Paul Hough for all that he has done in bringing up SJIS during his tenure as the Principal of SJIS. 3 years ago, he accepted the invitation from Archbishop John Ha to come here and start this school. He actually moved away from his familiar country and comfort zone to Kuching for the sake of realising the dream of the archdiocese to establish an international school with Catholic tradition. Congratulations Br. Paul for the work well done.

Lastly, I ask all of you to pray for our staff and students, and particularly for me so that we can work together in moulding our students to be good citizens and persons with faith. Only with God’s help we can change the hearts of our students and transform their lives. May we keep up the Catholic tradition of educating with love and care according to the will of God.
Thank you.

Br. Robert Teoh, FMS
School Principal
