Curriculum
St. Joseph’s International School also offers the Cambridge syllabus leading to the Cambridge ‘O’ and ‘A’ levels examinations. The books to be used is sourced from the United Kingdom. Soon we will be also offering the Australian Matriculation Programme (AUSMAT) as well. The AUSMAT programme is administered by the School Curriculum and Standards Authority of Western Australia, a statutory authority of the Western Australian Government. AUSMAT students are assessed based on 50% internal continuous assessment and 50% external examination.
All subjects is taught using English as the medium of instruction. Malaysian citizens are required to study Bahasa Melayu, Pendidikan Islam or Pendidikan Moral, and Sejarah Malaysia.
St. Joseph’s is a single session and co-ed school with lessons from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Development of soft skills such as the creative arts – music, drama and dance, and the nurturing of interpersonal skills and leadership qualities are all provided in a holistic education.
