NATIONAL PRIMARY
Message from the Headmistress of the Primary School

I joined St Joseph’s Private Primary School as a Primary 1 and 2 pioneer teacher in 2012. There were only 44 students and 6 teachers then. Over the years, the population had increased by leaps and bounds. By 2021, we would have 55 teachers and 750 students occupying the SK St Joseph building which was handed over to us on 22 December 2020.
2020 had been a challenging year for the school as we resorted to online teaching and learning due to the unprecedented Covid19 pandemic. However, teachers became more acquainted with technology. Students were also exposed and learning tech skills at an early age. It was a turning point in my career as well when I was promoted to be the new headmistress on 16 November 2020. I am humbled and honoured to be given the opportunity to serve. I will endeavour to do my utmost best and ensure that our school motto, “Ora Et Labora” is an integral part of every student’s experience at school.
