Curriculum

School hours – Monday to Friday – 7.30 a.m. to 3.40 p.m.
We prepare students for the Malaysian Form 5 SPM (Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia) Examination.

Secondary Students
The following are the subjects offered and time allocation for each subject, Form One to Three:

Bahasa Malaysia  –  9 periods
English Language  –  13 periods
Mathematics  –  6 periods
Science  –  6 periods
Sejarah  –  3 periods
Geografi  –  3 periods
RekaBentukdanTeknologi –  4 periods
Pendidikan Agama/ Moral  –  2 periods
PendidikanSeni  –  2 periods
PendidikanJasmani/ Kesihatan  –  2 periods
Computer Studies  –  2 periods
Bible Knowledge  –  1 period
Mandarin Language  –  4 periods
Religious Education – 2 periods

Total: 55 periods/ week

Physics (Science Stream) – 6 periods
Biology (Science Stream) – 6 periods
Chemistry (Science Stream) – 6 periods
Additional Mathematics (Science Stream) – 6 periods
Perniagaan (Arts Stream) – 6 periods
Ekonomi (Arts Stream) – 6 periods
Prinsip Perakaunan (Semi Science) – 5 periods
Bahasa Cina (optional) – 2 hours

Total: 55 periods/ week

We are providing the following “extras’” for our students:
i) Bible Knowledge and Religious Education – to instill character building, proper behaviour and spiritual knowledge,
ii) Singapore syllabus in English Language apart from the Malaysian syllabus,
iii) Mathematics and Science – taught in English,
iv) Mandarin Language is optional for students,
v) Computer Studies to hone their skills in information technology.
Our team, Lau Sau Jee, Zachary Aw Zheng Quan and Jeremiah Dudun Henry won fourth prize at the National Mighty Minds Challenge Lower Secondary Category on 27 September 2014 in Kuala Lumpur

Assessment
Two examinations are held each year in May and October respectively.  There are also two topical tests in a year.
