Donation of Hand Sanitisers from MRC Kuching District

As Malaysia is experiencing a once-in-a lifetime pandemic, standard operating procedures (SOP) have been implemented in order to flatten the curve. The public has been encouraged to maintain good personal hygiene to avoid the spreading of the highly contagious Covid-19 virus. One of the ways to do so includes using hand sanitisers outside home where tap water isn’t always available.

Recently, St. Joseph’s Private School received a donation of 52 bottles of hand sanitisers, 1-litre each by the Malaysian Red Crescent (MRC) Kuching District, which is sponsored by Saraya. The donation is made through the Red Crescent Youth Unit of St. Joseph’s Private Secondary School and was handled over by Mr. Liew Siaw Lin, the teacher-in-charge, Jasmine Lai, the head section leader and Joyce Lau, the unit secretary to the principal, Fr Francis Lim, SJ on 10 December 2020.

This donation aims to aid schools in the implementation of SOP throughout this tough time by providing hand sanitisers for the usage of students and school staff upon the reopening of schools in the year of 2021. As part of the community, we hold responsibilities to do our part so the pandemic will come to an end in the near future.

Last but not least, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to MRC Kuching District and Saraya for their kind gesture.
