On 28 May 2021, the St Joseph’s Family of Schools had an online celebration of Gawai and Teachers’ Day with the theme, “Unity in Diversity.” This was the fourth time the family of schools has a virtual celebration since last year when the Covid-19 pandemic started. Those other celebrations were End of Year Thanksgiving Mass, OxSS and Josephian Day.
The event started with a paraliturgy to thank God for what we are grateful for, especially harvest time and the dedication of our teachers. This time the teachers put up more showcases than before. On top of that, a Kahoot game was carried out on how much one knows about Gawai.
You can watch the various wonderful segments of the celebration below. As always, these videos highlight many of our multi-talented students and teachers. Due to the more stringent SOP put in place by the state government, this time we only had two teachers as emcees for the event.
