For the first time, an installation ceremony was held for 30 new members of the Red Crescent Society of St Joseph’s Private School via Google Meet on 22 August 2020. The reason was due to the pandemic Covid-19 that caused a lot of inconvenience to many people. School events and extra-curricular activities could not be held physically to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
Fr Francis Lim, SJ, the Principal of the Secondary School and Mr Joseph Teo from the Malaysian Red Crescent Kuching District were present. The national and state anthem were played at the beginning of the ceremony, followed by speeches by the two guests of honour. Fr Francis also prayed for the members.
Then the names of the 30 new members were announced and an oath taking was carried out by a representative.
As a closing item, the Bulan Sabit Merah song was played.
This brief video was shown as a token of appreciation during the ceremony.
